Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) -The next phase of construction of the I-25/Montgomery Interchange is beginning, and this is going to be loud. Piledrivers will be slamming steel beams into the ground to support the new bridge. Up to 44 of the steel piles may be needed. Testing has shown the ground at the interchange location is harder than they were hoping for. The work will be done during daylight hours.
