Compelling, incendiary and passionate are just a few words used to describe Eric Strauss. He is a motivational speaker, DJ, professional boxing announcer and the owner of Achievement Driving School located on the St. Pius Campus. Eric is a Golden Apple Award winning, National Board Certified Educator for over 26 years. His undergraduate degree is a double major in English and History from the University of New Mexico where he also earned a Master’s Degree in Administration. He is also a die-hard Lobo fan. He grew up on the Westside of Albuquerque and you may remember him from the Reality Radio contest where he took second place. Years later he finally came to land his own radio show called the “House of Strauss.”
He has worked hard in the community and currently serves as a board member and Spokesman for Los Ojos De La Familia, a charitable organization founded to help struggling families in New Mexico. On anygiven day you may find him playing music as a DJ at a local event, or in the middle of the ring getting the crowd fired up for a boxing match. His life goal is to, “Make a Difference!” He has two beautiful children and is married to Linda Strauss.
