Introducing America’s newest celebrity…Caitlyn Jenner. The new Ms. Jenner is a 65 year old, 6’2 200 pounder who has been married to women three times has 6 biological children and was once considered the world’s greatest athlete. Jenner broke the internet this week when photos of him (he still refers to himself as a man) graced the cover of Vanity Fair. Even the Wikipedia page of Bruce Jenner is gone check this out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caitlyn_Jenner. Jenner has been talking and talking about this for a while but it was still kind of a shock to see it in technicolor this week. A few thoughts here, the name Caitlyn will drop in popularity for parents naming baby girls, Bruce, err Caitlyn will bask in her new found glory until she does something even more outlandish to drop her out of public favor. When you do something so controversial in the public eye you had better ready for the backlash and possible ridicule. Bruce could have become Caitlyn in the middle of Iowa somewhere far away from TMZ, E!, and Star magazine and no one would care. But it is not enough that he has to become Caitlyn he has to be famous as well, reap the benefits and knock his stepdaughters the Kardashians off the front pages of the tabloids. So if you are not in total praise of Jenner for his decision you will be labeled intolerant or a bigot. But being intolerant may in today’s society just mean you won’t tolerant self-absorbed, money grubbing, publicity hounds.
