A man is in the hospital in Roswell after an officer-involved shooting there early Wednesday. Roswell Police say it happened at the Motel 6 on North Main Road around 2:00 AM. The department says a suspect fired on the officer, who was not hit and returned fire. The suspect was hit and was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injury.
The name of the suspect hasn’t been released yet. State Police, the Roswell PD and the Chaves County Sheriff’s Office are investigating.
