New Mexico comes in next to last in a new report on the best and worst states for drivers. The bankrate.com study looks at things like insurance premiums, cost of car repairs, gas expenditure, auto thefts and fatalities. Only California fared worse than New Mexico. The best state for drivers, according to the study, is Iowa.
