NM LEGISLATOR IS LOGAN’S NEW SCHOOL SUPERINTENDENT

CLOVIS, N.M. (AP) A southeastern New Mexico legislator has a new day job. The Clovis News Journal reports that Republican Rep. Dennis Roch of Texico has been named the new superintendent of Logan Municipal Schools. He starts his new job on Monday. He's currently principal of Texico Junior High and is a former assistant school superintendent for Texico and Tucumcari.

Roch replaces Johnnie Cain as Logan's superintendent. Cain resigned on July 14 to become superintendent of the Portales school district.

New Mexico legislators serve part-time, and Roch said his new responsibilities will not affect his service as a state representative for the 67th District.
