LINCOLN NATIONAL FOREST LIFTS FIRE RESTRICTIONS

ALAMOGORDO, N.M. (AP) Another of the fire restrictions that have been in place in much of New Mexico is being lifted because of recent rain. The Lincoln National Forest in southern New Mexico says the reduced fire danger is prompting the Alamogordo-headquartered forest to lift its fire restrictions as of Friday morning.

Forest Supervisor Travis Mosley cautions that the change of weather could mean increased water flow in streams and other drainages.
