As most of you probably know, our beautiful, wonderful host of the Weekend Show, Terrie Q Sayre, passed away on the 22nd of January of this year. I had been her co-host for the previous seven years and stepped in as host. I was blessed immediately with an amazing co-host, Jill Lane. Jill was the right person at the right time. Jill will not be on the show this Saturday and Sunday. She is busy with her duties at the Balloon Museum where she is on staff.
Jill will be back with me next Sunday the 11th at 5 am broadcasting live from the fiesta.
As a result”, “In your back yard”, “Showcase New Mexico” and “Happy Tails” will not be heard the next two weeks. They will return with Jill Lane as your host on Oct 17 and 18.
“Terrie Q’s Adorable Adoptable Pets” will be heard as usual this Saturday and next at 8:40.
In the meantime, I’ve persuaded Jinx, the president of the Blonde Club, to help me out. She’ll be guarding me from the attacks of Producer Bob. Jinx will be calling on her experience from her days as a linebacker for the Green Bay Packers.
I’ll be on the air in-studio Saturday 7-10am and then live FROM OUR MYERS RV BROADCAST CENTER AT BALLOON FIESTA PARK Sunday October 4, 5am-8am.
It’s my goal on Weekends to entertain and inform you, the listeners. Along with everything ballooning, we will also be looking back at some of the ways we were entertained and some of the things we learned in the first 6 months of Weekends with Dan, Jill, Jack and Bob.
