Pets of the Week | Sep 12

First I would like to say that last weeks pets, our gorgeous lab mix Fiona and our super friendly Tina are still waiting for their forever homes!

This week we are featuring 3, yes 3, small older pups.  The 3 pups featured this week are all kenneled together and are all senior citizens.

Bean: A1036768 Bean is a male 11 year old smooth coated brown and white Chihuahua.  Bean is really small, hence the name Bean.  He is a gentle, mellow, easy going guy.  He loves to go on walks with his buddies and he likes to be carried as well.  He is affectionate, a kisser, and a lover.  Bean would like a mature home or one with older kids that know how to hold a little guy!  He has been waiting for his forever home for a bit.  Being older he doesn’t get noticed as much.  Could you provide a forever home for him????  How can you resist his smile!

Taylor: A1588893 He is 9 year old male smooth coated Chihuahua.  He gets along with his roommates quite well and he has lived with bigger dogs.  He is a “senior” as well so he would prefer a mature home or one with kids older than 10.  He is mellow, easy going, and affectionate.  He would make a great partner on the couch!  He also enjoys daily walks and is great on leash.

Third up is the “gal” in the bunch:  Hannah A1725185.  She is an 8 year old  female, white and brown tiny Chihuahua.  She is very gentle and delicate.  She also does pretty well on leash.  She really loves to cuddle and give kisses and “really” likes to be a lapdog!  She also would prefer a mature home as she is so small.  Children have to be so careful with little dogs as they can get stepped on easily.  She is the shyest of the group.

Also this weekend is the National Pet Adoption!  The pet adoption will take place  in the big white tent at Pet Smart on Coors bypass.  Saturday hours are 10-5 and Sunday 10-4.  Both of this weeks dogs will be at the eastside shelter on Saturday.  If you want to see either of them on Sunday please check the AWD website to make sure they are still available and still at the eastside.  It is possible that they could go to the adoption event on Sunday.
