Duke City # 3 for hit-and-runs

Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — A new study on hit-and-run fatalities puts Albuquerque at Number 3 in the nation, right behind St. Louis and Memphis. The law offices of Christopher Cheney assembled 5-years of data to find 13.8 fatal hit-and-run accidents per 100-thousand population in Bernalillo County. There were a total of 93 fatal hit-and-runs from 2018 through 2022. By comparison, St. Louis had 25 deadly crashes where the driver fled the scene per hundred-thousand. The safest large city to walk the streets was Fort Worth, Texas, according to the survey.
