MacKay charged

Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — A man who led the Santa Fe Opera for a decade as its director was arrested in Wyoming for propositioning teens for sex. 74-year-old Charles MacKay is charged with 4 felonies in Powell, Wyoming after police say he suggested to two boys – ages 14 and 16 – to go to a hotel room with him for sex. The Powell Tribune reports the Santa Fe native admitted to inappropriate discussions with the boys. A hearing is set for Tuesday to consider if there’s evidence to go to trial.
