Speeders get their picture taken

Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — After receiving feedback on issues regarding crashes and people speeding down Shelly Ave., near I-40, Bernalillo County now has the roadway under constant supervision, in the form of cameras. In just two weeks, the mobile speed cameras have caught over 300 people breaking the law by going too fast. The posted speed limit is 45 miles-per-hour but the county has found most drivers are usually going around 60 miles per hour. The county said they are still waiting for the City of Albuquerque to sign an agreement to add more lighting on Shelly Rd.
