Student hit by vehicle in front of school

Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — A middle school student was struck by a vehicle this morning just steps away from their northeast Albuquerque school. Albuquerque Public Schools reported that the student is in good condition and returned to afternoon classes. In response to the incident, the school is collaborating with the City to launch a volunteer crossing guard program, set to begin Monday. The program comes after years of safety concerns raised by local parents and neighbors about the area.
