Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — The Nation’s report card on school is out, and – once again – New Mexico ranks last in all categories. Scores from the National Assessment of Educational Progress shows about half of all 4th and 8th grade students are not meeting even the most basic ability in math or reading. Amanda Aragon of New Mexico Kids Can says the system is failing our children. She told KKOB’s Morning Show with Bob Clark that the numbers are actually worse than they were in 2022, meaning the progress just is not there.
