Another officer resigns

Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — APD Lt. Kyle Curtis who was targeted on Friday as part of an internal investigation of current and former DWI officers submitted his resignation Monday. The U.S. Attorney’s Office identified Lt. Curtis as Giglio-impaired as a result of the federal investigation into wrong doing. The DA’s Office used the designation to add Curtis to its Brady-Giglio disclosure list, which raises concerns about their credibility if they testify in court. APD has placed a total of 12 former DWI officers on leave as part of its investigation. With Curtis’s retirement, 10 of those officers have resigned, retired or been terminated.
