Homelessness funding heading to New Mexico

Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has awarded a total of more than $17 million dollars to projects throughout New Mexico, in an effort to combat homelessness. The funds will be applied towards prevention, rapid rehousing, transitional housing, and permanent supportive housing. Funding will also support youth and survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking. HUD has awarded a total of nearly $3.6 billion to address homelessness nationwide.
