Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — There’s been a startling increase in response times for emergency calls in Santa Fe. The latest police report shows high priority calls to 9-1-1 had a response from an officer or firefighters within 9 and a half minutes in September. However, that jumped to 18 minutes in October. The data also shows second priority calls not being responded to for almost a half an hour, and 49 minutes for 3rd priority. There have been staffing shortages for emergency call operators in Santa Fe, and crime calls have also been on the increase.
