Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — The New Mexico Military Institute is facing a lawsuit over a rape allegation dating back 5 years. This latest in a series of sexual assault accusations involves a 15-year-old girl who was told to, – quote – “Sleep it off” after reporting a rape at the school. The criminal case – which was dismissed at first – has been refiled. In 2020, N-M-M-I had 3 rape cases and 3 cases of underage sex reported with cadets as the suspects.
