Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — We have the identities of the suspect and Albuquerque police officer who were shot over the weekend at a trailer park. APD says Officer Jeff Schwarzel was struck by gunfire in the hand and arm in a shootout with 41-year-old Matthew Sanchez, who was killed. Officers responded late Sunday night after a call for a domestic dispute at the trailer park on Cochiti near Eubank. Investigators say Sanchez emerged from a trailer home with a gun and opened fire. Schwarzel has since been released from a hospital.
