Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –ABQ Ride is looking to hire more than 150 people, mostly drivers and mechanics. Madeline Skrak, a public information officer for ABQ Ride says that with a new hiring process in place the department is another step closer to the city’s transit system returning to full operations. She specifically cited a certification that used to be done by a third party, but has now been moved in-house . In addition, it’s hoped that ABQ Ride’s new incentives will encourage more drivers behind the wheel, and serves towards their goal of working at full capacity. The necessary CDL exams will now be provided free of charge to students as well.
