Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — The XTERRA triathlon is coming to Ruidoso next summer. It’s in the effort to boost tourism, which took a hit after fires and flooding. The Village of Ruidoso has announced a partnership with XTERRA and plans to hold a triathlon in August. Running, swimming, and biking athletes will be competing for a world championship qualification at the event. The village says there’s an opportunity for the race to come back again over the next three to five years.
