Albuquerque Police Department just released surveillance footage of 15-year-old Isaiah Montoya the suspect in the Friday shooting at Coronado Center. Video shows Montoya chasing a teen through the mall, finally stopping at an exit, waving to the teen to exit with him. The teen approaches the doors when Montoya fires the shot, from outside Coronado Center. People can be seen ducking and running after the shot rang out. An off-duty BCSO Lieutenant runs after Montoya. Authorities report a bullet hole was left above the entrance to the mall, and a gun matching the firearm used by Montoya, was discovered near the area on Saturday.
APD also released body camera footage of officers arriving on the scene. The video shows people franticly running out of the mall. Shopping bags can be seen scattered throughout the ground.
15-year-old Isaiah Montoya turned himself into law enforcement on Sunday.
