(Albuquerque)-Lan Sena is Albuquerque’s newest city councilor and says the job comes with challenges. She replaces the late Councilor Ken Sanchez in his district after Mayor Tim Keller appointed her to the position. Now she’s talking about her priorities for the city’s west side.
She wants to continue where Sanchez left off, hoping to continue the projects he started like the Indoor Sports Complex. She says 5-million dollars has already been secured for phase one of the project. Sena … who’s Vietnamese but born in Albuquerque … also wants to set up phone town hall meetings for constituents who don’t have internet access.
She says her passions include public health … health policy… advocacy … crime … and homelessness.
