THE RIO GRANDE AND OTHER WATER-WAYS IN NEW MEXICO ARE DANGEROUS RIGHT NOW, ALL THANKS TO THE MOISTURE THE STATE HAS RECEIVED. RESCUE TEAMS ARE PREPPING FOR DANGEROUS CONDITIONS, ESPECIALLY ALONG THE RIO GRANDE.
IT’S SAID TO BE JUST A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE SOMEONE GETS SWEPT AWAY BY THE WATER IN THE RIO GRANDE, WHICH IS FLOWING AT 5-THOUSAND CUBIC FEET. THAT’S 10 TIMES FASTER THAN THE RIVER WAS RUNNING LAST YEAR. A REMINDER FROM RESCUE CREWS IS THAT IF YOU GO OUT ON THE RIVER, WEAR A LIFE JACKET.
