Albuquerque to Increase Crime Fight

ALBUQUERQUE NEEDS A PLAN TO FIGHT CRIME AND KEEP RESIDENTS SAFE … AND GOVERNOR LUJAN GRISHAM SAYS THAT PLAN WILL USE A MIXTURE OF STATE AND LOCAL RESOURCES. ONE OF THE STATE SOURCES SHE WANTS TO USE ARE STATE POLICE OFFICERS. THEY’LL BE STATIONED IN THE NOB HILL AREA TO PATROL THE BARS AND CHECK ON WHETHER LIQUOR AND CODE VIOLATIONS ARE BEING FOLLOWED.

THERE WERE TWO CRIME SCENES OVER THE WEEKEND … ONE NEAR RIO GRANDE AND ROSE WHERE THREE PEOPLE WERE SHOT INSIDE A VEHICLE. ONE WAS SHOT IN THE HEAD AND IS IN THE HOSPITAL. THE OTHER INCIDENT IS A SUSPICIOUS DEATH ON THE WEST SIDE.
