A Look at NM Gas Prices

HERE’S SOMETHING YOU HAVEN’T HEARD FOR A WHILE. AAA NEW MEXICO SAYS THE STATEWIDE AVERAGE FOR A GALLON OF GAS HAS ACTUALLY GONE DOWN. BUT NOT BY MUCH. IT’S THE FIRST TIME IN 14 WEEKS. THE PRICE IS NOW 2-76 A GALLON, ONE CENT LESS THAN LAST WEEK. IT’S ALSO A NICKEL MORE A GALLON LESS THAN WHAT YOU PAID AT THIS TIME LAST YEAR.

AAA SAYS THE DECREASE ISN’T LIKELY TO BE A LONG-TERM TREND AS DEMAND WILL PUSH PRICES UP AS THE SUMMER DRIVING SEASON GETS UNDERWAY. THE AGENCY SAYS THE AVERAGE IN ALBUQUERQUE IS DOWN 3 CENTS THIS WEEK, NOW AT 2-69. THE NATIONAL AVERAGE IS 2-88 A GALLON, DOWN A PENNY FROM LAST WEEK.
