BIG WEATHER CHANGES ARE ON THE WAY TO NEW MEXICO. AFTER NEAR RECORD BREAKING HIGH TEMPERATURES ON TUESDAY ACROSS MUCH OF THE STATE, NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE METEOROLOGIST RANDALL HERGERT SAYS A SYSTEM WILL BRING STRONG WINDS AND COLDER TEMPERATURES ON WEDNESDAY. THE STORM WILL BRING BACK IN COLDER TEMPERATURES WITH THE HIGHS DROPPING BACK TO BELOW-NORMAL ACROSS MUCH OF THE STATE THROUGH FRIDAY.
HERGERT SAYS ALBUQUERQUE COULD SEE WIND GUSTS OF 40 TO 50 MPH ON WEDNESDAY. AND THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS OF THE SANGRE DE CRISTO MOUNTAINS ARE EXPECTED TO RECEIVE SEVERAL INCHES OF SNOW.
