THE KELLER ADMINISTRATION IS CONTINUING ITS EFFORTS TO TEAR DOWN DILAPIDATED BUILDINGS IN ALBUQUERQUE. THE LATEST STRUCTURE BEING TARGETED IS A PROPERTY ON ST. JOHNS SOUTHEAST IN THE SOUTH BROADWAY NEIGHBORHOOD. MAYOR KELLER SAYS MORE BUILDINGS WILL BE COMING DOWN LATER THIS YEAR:
THE MAYOR SAYS THESE BUILDING ARE NOT ONLY EYESORES, BUT CAN ALSO BECOME HOT SPOTS FOR CRIME. HE SAYS, IN ALL, THERE ARE 500 PROPERTIES LISTED AS SUBSTANDARD ACROSS THE CITY.
