THE ALBUQUERQUE-BERNALILLO COUNTY WATER AUTHORITY SAYS WE’VE REACHED A MILESTONE WHEN IT COMES TO WATER USAGE. KATHERINE YUHAS WITH THE WATER AUTHORITY SAYS THE COMMUNITY USED JUST 125 GALLONS OF WATER PER CAPITA DAILY IN 2018. IT IS A NEW RECORD LOW AND REPRESENTS HALF OF WHERE USAGE STOOD IN THE MID-90S.
NOW, YUHAS SAYS THEY WANT TO TAKE THAT NUMBER EVEN LOWER. THE NEW GOAL IS TO GET TO 110 GALLONS , BUT SHE ADMITS 125 GALLONS A DAY IS A FANTASTIC ACHIEVEMENT. SHE SAYS THEY HOPE TO REACH THE 110 GALLON MARK IN THE NEXT 20 YEARS.
