Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — The National Police Association is calling on US Attorney General Pam Bondi to investigate New Mexico’s Attorney General. They’re citing the case of Las Cruces Police Officer Brad Lunsford being convicted of manslaughter in the 2022 shooting death of a man who got ahold of his partner’s Tazer. Association spokeswoman Betsy Brantner Smith tells Fox News the officer was cleared to return to work before Raul Torrez filed charges. She calls the prosecuting politically motivated. Torrez has been active in suing the Trump Administration.
