Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — New Mexico State Police arrested 18-year-old Ricky Romero after his father, Fernando Romero, was fatally shot at their home on Sunday. Officers responded to a 911 call reporting gunfire and found Fernando with a gunshot wound to the chest. Authorities say the shooting followed a verbal argument. Ricky Romero was charged with second-degree murder and booked into the Rio Arriba County Adult Detention Facility.
