Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — A newborn baby has been found dead in a dumpster in northwest Albuquerque. APD’s Gilbert Gallegos says they got a call around 3:30 AM today from a shopping center on Rio Grande Northwest after the infant was discovered in the dumpster. APD’s Crimes Against Children Unit is investigating. There has been widespread publicity about baby boxes at fire stations where mothers can drop off newborns without facing questions.
