Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — An Albuquerque teenager was given a 5-year sentence for a fatal shooting at a Halloween party. 19-year-old Omar Castillo-Galindo pleaded no contest to second-degree murder in the death of 15-year-old Gilbran Gomez-Martinez at a party in southwest Albuquerque in 2022. Judge Jennifer Wernersbach handed down a 30-year sentence Wednesday, but suspended all but 5-years of it due to Castillo-Galindo’s staying out of trouble since he got out of jail more than a year ago.
