Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — The driver of a City of Santa Fe vehicle hit and killed a person sitting on a bench outside the Santa Fe Place Mall on Monday. The driver of the Honda Civic told police that they put the vehicle in drive, instead of reverse, and pressed the gas pedal, causing the vehicle to drive over the curb. The vehicle hit the bench, and the man who was sitting on it died at the scene. Anyone who witnessed the crash, or has a video of the incident, is asked to contact the Santa Fe Police Department.
