Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — It looks like a “suicide by cop” that ended the life of a 67-year-old man at a northeast Albuquerque apartment Friday morning. APD has identified David McElvain as the man they shot when he produced a gun as officers arrived at the Villa La Charles complex on Montgomery. Investigators have not yet said if he pointed his weapon before being shot. McElvain made suicidal comments before police responded.
