Accused of sexual harassment

Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — The Santa Fe Superintendent of Public Schools is being accused of sexual harassment by a City Councilor. Attorneys for Councilor Amanda Chavez announced Monday that she has resigned from her position as Assistant Principal at Santa Fe High School, accusing Superintendent Larry Chavez – no relation – of harassment. She also accuses him of retaliation for refusing his sexual advances. The Councilor says the harassment had been going on for months, and a formal complaint is now being filed. The Superintendent has not responded.
