Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — There could be loud booms and fireballs in the area of Kirtland Air Force Base over the next couple of weeks. Sandia Labs says they’re conducting some controlled fire experiments that could produce the sounds – along with fire and smoke – in the Laurence Canyon Burn Site of the Base. The 10-second experiments may begin as early as 6 AM.
