Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — There will be lane closures on Central Avenue in downtown Albuquerque starting today as bike lanes are painted between Second and Eighth streets. Westbound lanes will be shut down though February 19th to add the green and white paint, while eastbound lanes are set to close February 19th through 28th. The bike lanes come over the objections of businesses who say the center lane – which will be eliminated – is used for delivery trucks, along with emergency vehicles.
