Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — A new email scam warning from Bernalillo County’s Planning and Development Services Department. Several residents have been directed to wire more than $25,000 to an off-site email address so that their zoning application before the county can go forward. It’s believed the scammer got personal information on who submitted the request from meeting agendas available on the county’s website, bernco.gov., as part of the official public record. As a reminder, the county never solicits a wire transfer of funds, and does not conduct financial transactions via email.
