Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — Los Alamos National Laboratory is looking to finally get rid of feral cattle on their land. The cows have been known to cause accidents on area roads, and the proposals are for a round up, or to shoot the animals. The National Nuclear Security Administration also says the cattle have damaged cultural sites and can impact endangered species. While shooting is not the preferred option, it may be necessary since capture may not be possible. They’ve removed about 130 cattle over the past 4 years around Los Alamos.
