Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — Sandia National Labs is breaking records. The Labs director reports that in 2024, Sandia’s economic impact to the state reached a record-breaking $5.2 billion, which is $400 million dollars more than the previous year. In addition, Sandia filed more patents and licenses last year, all of which involved new technologies developed at the labs, as well as introducing more than 10,000 students to STEM. The Labs employ more than 17,000 employees and 2,000 interns.
