Medicaid rates increase

Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — The New Mexico Health Care Authority has received federal approval to increase Medicaid rates for services provided to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The rate increases, scheduled to kick in this month, apply to three programs, including the Developmental Disabilities Waiver, Mi Via Waiver and the Medically Fragile Waiver. New Mexico’s Medicaid director stated that the increases serve to strengthen the workforce, and helps ensure members receive the quality health care services they need.
