Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — The Southwest Animal Team of Valencia County has announced the arrival of a new 40-foot customized trailer which will provide spay and neuter operations south of the metro. Privately funded, the trailer has a surgery table, and is equipped with a dog bath and over 30 kennels, which can even be divided depending on the size of the dogs they’re helping. SAT says they’re currently looking for a veterinarian to work on the trailer, and hoping to have it fully operational by the end of spring. The non-profit’s goal is to eventually expand, so they can offer help to other shelters outside of Valencia County and New Mexico.
