Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — The Asia habitat at the Albuquerque Zoo opened to the public just over a year ago, and is already receiving top honors. The Exhibit Award acknowledges excellence in live animal display and exhibit design, honoring the BioPark for its immersive and innovative habitats that promote animal welfare and conservation education. The display cost $35-million and was funded by Albuquerque’s 1/8-cent Gross Receipts Tax.
