Former NMSP Chief arrested last month

Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — We’re learning today that former New Mexico State Police Chief Robert Shilling was arrested for drunk driving in Santa Fe last month. Court records show Shilling ran off the road near his home on September 16th and was booked for aggravated driving while intoxicated and careless driving. A County magistrate dismissed the charges, but it was refiled October 2nd in District Court. Shilling served as State Police Chief under Governor Susana Martinez.
