Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — The stars have returned to New Mexico for a new project. Netflix is wasting no time ramping up production after expanding their Albuquerque studios. Actress Geena Davis stars in a new, 8-part series being produced around town. “The Boroughs” is a mystery series that also stars Bill Pullman, and is set in a retirement community and features an otherworldly threat residents band together to stop. Nearly 2-thousand locals are being hired on as extras and filming is already underway. Expansion of the Mesa Del Sol Studio was announced over the summer, and is a co-op between Netflix, NBC Universal and 8-2-8 Productions.
