October sobriety checkpoints in effect

Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — October 1st through the 31st will see the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office out on the roads, conducting sobriety checkpoints and DWI-directed patrols. Deputies will be looking for people driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs to reduce the number of impaired driving related crashes and fatalities on our roadways. BCSO encourages citizens to take an active role in their community and report suspected impaired drivers by calling 911. The department asks the public to avoid drinking and driving at all costs, and utilize rideshare services.
