Delays for interchange

Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — Traffic congestion looks to continue in Los Lunas with another delay for the long-standing I-25 interchange project. Recently, the village announced they received a $25 million grant to fund the project to add a new road between I-25 and Highway 47 near Morris Road. Village officials say the next step is setting a construction company to take a bid by December. It was originally supposed to break ground this fall. Erin Callahan, Deputy Village Administrator said, we do think it’s very realistic that we will be having a groundbreaking in March 2025.
