Ruidoso, NM (KKOB) — The rapid spread of the South Fork Fire has triggered a mandatory evacuation for the Village of Ruidoso.
Senate District 33 Republican nominee Nick Paul released this statement:
“The South Fork Fire has spread rapidly over the last few hours triggering a mandatory evacuation for the Village of Ruidoso. I am praying for all of the residents who have been displaced this afternoon and for all of our first responders and fire crews — who I am extraordinarily grateful for. I urge everyone to follow their instructions and guidance during this difficult time. I am also calling upon Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham to declare a state of emergency now and call in Federal resources.”
Evacuees must use US 70 East toward Roswell.
