Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — District 9 City Councilor Renée Grout and the APD Foothills Area Command will host the third annual Touch A Truck event!
WHEN: Saturday, June 15, 2024,
10:00 AM to Noon
WHERE: Franklin Plaza (the northeast corner of Central and Juan Tabo)
Enjoy delicious treats from food trucks, plenty of games and activities for children, and much more!
Here are a few of the featured displays and activities:
- The APD lowrider
- Law enforcement vehicles from APD, BCSO, and NM State Police
- AFR fire trucks
- Construction equipment including a front-end loader, a dump truck, a motor grader, and a “vactor,” which is used to clean out storm drains
- Food trucks
- Garbage trucks
- The City’s Aviation, Community Safety, Arts & Culture, Senior Affairs, Parks & Rec, and Youth and Family Services departments will have fun activities and demonstrations
- The Animal Welfare Department will hold a pet adoption event
- VIN etching event
